Welcome to Weymouth Model Railways – the website of the Weymouth Model Railway Association (WMRA).
We cater for railway modellers in all the main scales from N to O and welcome new members and visitors to the town. We have N, OO and O gauge layouts as well as interest in OO9 and Hornby Dublo. Our layouts are continuously evolving.
We aim to hold an open day and a major exhibition in Weymouth each year. We also take our layouts and those of our members to other club events.
If you are interested in model railways we are sure to have something that will interest you. We cater for old and young, beginner and expert alike, and pride ourselves in being a friendly club that welcomes new members.
If you want to find out more about membership, just turn up on a Monday (except bank holidays) and have a chat. There’s no obligation to join and you can enjoy three free sessions before deciding.
Our weekly meetings ...
We meet every Monday evening, except bank holidays and at Christmas/New Year, at the Upwey & Broadwey Memorial Hall in Victoria Avenue, Upwey, Weymouth DT3 5NG between 7 and 10 pm.
We have a running night on the first non-bank holiday Monday of each month. Other Monday meetings concentrate on layout planning and construction – and, of course, a cup of tea and a biscuit.
